Head’s up! Giada De Laurentiis has a new healthy recipes cookbook you may want to check out, Giada’s Feel Good Food.
I downloaded my copy onto my kindle fire from Amazon for about $12. I don’t normally purchase eCookbooks, because I’m afraid of spilling food on my device. We’ll see how that goes. I will say, don’t be nervous to download the cookbook. You can easily find each recipe.
This book gives you Giada’s tips to a healthy lifestyle and 120 recipes for breakfasts, lunches, dinners, snacks, juices, and desserts. Each recipe has a the nutritional facts breakdown. She even has a month of these recipes planned out for you – if you are eager to cook every single meal of every single day for 30 days.
I personally can’t wait to try some of these recipes, like the…
- Rise-and-Shine Juice
- Egg, Kale and Tomato Breakfast Wraps
- Egg White Scramble with Spicy Tomato Salsa
- Farfalle with Chicken, Cremini Mushrooms, and Swiss Chard
- Crispy Chickpeas
- Chewy Granola Bars
- Greek Tabbouleh Salad with Kale
- Whole Roasted Chicken with Vegetable Bolognese
- Vegetarian Chili Verde
- Grilled Scallops with Orange-Scented Quinoa
- Salmon with Basil and Chive Tzatziki
- Cantaloupe and Mint Granita
- Blueberry Frozen Yogurt
There are a few recipes I know I’m going to pass on, like the Avocado-Chocolate Mousse, Spiced Pumpkin-Raisin Cookies, and the Carrot & Zucchini Mini Muffins. Come on, these are not desserts. They sound gross (or maybe I’m just not adventurous enough).
Word on the street is that the Roasted Red Pepper Hummus in Cucumber Cups is awesome and the Chocolate Fig Bites are quite yummy too (pictured below).

Giada just posted another recipe for the Chocolate Cranberry Treats last night on Pinterest.

Her health tips are simple (and nothing new). Eat a little of everything and not a lot of anything. She’s a fan of smaller meals throughout the day (which will help increase metabolism and sustain your energy levels). She also talks about how she stays active by going on beach walks and doing yoga. I’ve seen her house on her show and I would love to walk that beach too. 🙂
If you are a big red meat eater, you will not want this book. You will not find any. I’m hoping my husband will be ok with that. I read some bad Amazon reviews that said you have to buy a bunch of obscure and crazy ingredients, but that’s just simply not true. If you don’t want to try quinoa, then don’t make that recipe. It’s as simple as that.
Cook something new and eat healthy this weekend!
I love Giada!
Me too!
I haven’t tried any of her recipes but that list you just provided may cause a major shift! FYI don’t knock zucchini muffins until you try them…
I hate zucchini. I’ve tried it so many ways and I just can’t do it. Anyway, Happy Friday RC!
LOL! Okay, no zucchini pressure for you ever again!
Happy Weekend!!
I made the shift away from red meat a while ago, so this sounds like a perfect cookbook for me! Thanks for thinking of our HEALTH, as always!!
I have tried a few recipes now and it is a hit!
