Spa Water Recipes for Healthy Living

Drink more water and get the added benefits from the fruits, veggies, and herbs that are muddled into these refreshing spa water recipes.  It’s also a great way to skim down on your daily caloric intake.  Drinking a pitcher of water a day may make you feel more full, so you won’t turn to the fridge for snacking!

BlackBerry, Cucumber, Lemon, & Parsley Water

  • 1 pint blackberries
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 1 small lemon
  • 12 Italian parsley leaves
  • 6 cups water
  • ice

Muddle all ingredients in a pitcher (to absorb the most nutrients), refrigerate, and drink throughout the day.  If the seeds floating at the top bother you, strain them out.

Health Benefits:

*Blackberries: for anti-viral & anti-bacterial properties.
*Cucumber: connection with reduced risk of cardiovascular disease & several cancers, including breast, uterine, ovarian, and prostate cancers.
*Lemon: neutralizes free radicals and boosts immune system.
*Italian Parsley: Increases cardiovascular health and may help decrease lung tumor formation.

Watermelon, Key Lime, & Mint Water

  • 1/2 personal watermelon
  • 5 key limes
  • 12 mint leaves
  • 6 cups water
  • ice

Muddle all ingredients together in a pitcher, refrigerate, and drink throughout the day.

*Watermelon: for anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, & bone health; also improves blood flow for cardiovascular health.

*Key Limes:for antioxidant health and cancer fighting properties.

*Mint: for bone health, maintaining blood sugar levels, and nerve health, decreases risk of colon cancer, and may help decrease risk of colorectal cancer and tumor formation.

  1. I love cucumber mint water! This Watermelon mint looks delicious too!
    There is a restaurant near me that everyday has a different specialty water some are to die for but I can’t ever remember what was in them when I get home!
