Need a fun day with the family?

First, Make these yummy flourless oatmeal cookies.

Here’s the recipe from an old Betty Crocker cookbook (a similar version of cookbook here),

I made these into almond cookies with the revisions below:

  • 1.5 tsp almond extract instead of vanilla
  • 1/4 cup (small package) chopped almonds
  • 2 T flaxseed (ssshhh, no one will know)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, omit white sugar

Now that you made your yummy cookies, go on a nature walk.

Finish off with a night of bowling – a little music, a little silliness, and a whole lot of fun!
