Jillian Michaels Killer Abs is a new core training DVD release from a few months ago.
I’ve been in the fitness industry for 20 years, and when it comes to abdominals, I’ve pretty much seen it all. It’s rare that I come across new exercises. Well, I was shocked – this workout actually has new/innovative exercises that are really fun and challenging. Way to go Team Jillian (assuming you have a team). I really like this workout and I will keep this in my home workout rotation.
This is a circuit style workout (going from one exercise to another with no breaks in between). It’s functional and integrated – you won’t be just laying down on a mat for 30 minutes. You will change body positions from floor to standing quickly (which will also get your heart rate up).
Make sure you have somewhat of a base level of fitness before trying this DVD.
Note: Doing abdominal training doesn’t make your waist smaller. It will make your core stronger, but you need to do cardiovascular exercise and eat mostly healthy to see the results.
My only complaint would be that she should have had a guy demonstrating some of the exercises too, because this workout is for everyone. Guys would just want to increase the weight a little bit.
