Add TV Workouts For Variety

Did you know that you have workouts available to you on TV?

You will find all sorts of cardio, strength, flexibility, balance, and agility workouts – all at the touch of a button.

Check out some of the shows below:

Bollyfit
Channel: Veria (on Dish Network)
Sat & Sundays at 6:30am Pacific
30 minutes (with commercials)
Fitness Level: Beginner
Choreography Level: Easy (to follow) to Moderate
Instructor: Reshmi Chetram

The workout consists of warm-up, cardio, strengthening, and dance.

The girls are really cute, the exercises are effective, the music is…the same for 30 minutes, but maybe this format just isn’t my style. I wished that Reshmi had a little more energy during cardio and dance segments.

Rock Your Yoga
Channel: Veria
Sundays at 7am Pacific & various times through the week.
60 minutes (with commercials)
Fitness Level: Beginner to Intermediate
Choreography Level: Easy to Moderate
Instructor: Sadie Nardini

This is a contemporary style class with a really energetic instructor. I like her, but her style isn’t for everyone.

Christian Fitness
Channel: CTN
Mondays at 9:30am Pacific and various times through the week.
30 minutes
Fitness Level: Intermediate-Beginner to Intermediate.
Choreography: Easy
Instructors: Robert & Lori Evans

They do 9 exercises for 2 minutes each with scripture breaks (such as Philippians 4:13) and health tips in between the exercises.

They are really positive, real, easy-going, and give a ton of health facts. This show is great if you already have a base level of fitness. True beginners shouldn’t even attempt some of their exercises, listen to your body.

Faith & Fitness
Channel: ANGL2
Wednesdays at 5:30am and various times thoughout the week.
Fitness Level: Beginner to Intermediate
Choreography: Easy
Instructor: Mia Samone

I watched a yoga workout. I can’t even talk about it positively. I’ll just say yoga is not her strong suit.

Sit and be Fit.
Channel: PBS at various times through the week.
Fitness Level: Beginner to Intermediate
Choreography: Easy
Instructor: Mary Ann Wilson, RN

This show has been running for 22 years, and it is the best senior program available. Make fun of it all you want, but these exercises are essential for continued mobility when you are older (or need a slower exercise format).

Ms. Wilson works with a team of physical therapists, doctors, and exercise specialists to provide you with a safe exercise program.

Check out my last post here for a pilates show too.

Do you have a fitness show or on demand workout you like to do?
