Rainy Day – Stay In and Play or Not!

Don’t let rainy weather destroy your fitness momentum.  There are plenty of indoor activities you can do to stay on the right path.  Below are a few ideas for trying a new indoor activity:

  • Try out a new gym.  Usually you can get a one week pass for free to check out equipment, classes, and club offerings.
  • Discover mind/body workouts.  There are plenty of yoga, nia, barre, and pilates studios popping up all over the place.  Again, usually you can get a free or discounted trial.
  • Indoor rock climbing, soccer, tennis, basketball, rowing, volleyball (also look for indoor sand volleyball), boxing, swimming, roller or ice skating, parkour, and too many more to list!  Try something new – we were all beginners at one time or another.

Stay tuned for an indoor circuit workout tomorrow.  Until then, you can always go get yourself a nice rain jacket and a pair of trail runners.  Don’t cancel a workout due to crummy weather! Check out the stylish rain gear from REI below.
